I have been a spiritual explorer for about 15 years now, having first been introduced to it by friends. During that time I have gone from being someone who just had the occasional reading to running the local spiritualist group in my home town of Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, UK.
It has been an interesting journey and one of great learning. When I first started to attend the church in Wells I had no idea what went on in a spiritualist church. I was not aware that it really is like walking into any other church you may attend. I had visions of dark rooms and séances, as these are often portrayed on the television.
Most of the churches I have attended throughout the country hold a simple service with hymns and prayers, an address, and the only difference is the spiritual medium who is present will often give messages to the congregation that come from spirit.
After getting involved on the committee at our church I started to attend meditations and workshops. These are always run by an experienced medium.
Within a short space of time I had started to chair the weekly meetings at the church and eventually I started to run it.
We have a lovely group at Wells and you are free to join us if you are ever in the area.
I live not too far from Wells, in a small village called Cockthorpe. My mother lives in Wells, my father lives in Spain, my sister lives in Mansfield, so we are spread around a bit!
I live with Julie and our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Daisy. Daisy came to us in February 2008, when she was just 12 weeks old. She is a rescue dog.
Julie is an artist and also a spiritualist. She has been known to produce some very intriguing psychic art!
I own 2 antiques centres and an art gallery. I am also a part time youth worker and use my life coaching training wherever I can.
